‘We’ve had enough’, say campaigners as Corran ferry fares fight is launched | Lochaber News | News
The campaign for a fairer deal on the Corran Ferry, took a significant step forward this week with the launch of a new community-led campaign group. It’s primary aim is to see the removal of fares altogether on this lifeline service. With fares rising by another 4% on 1st April 2014, this is a timely reminder to senior councillors in the Highland Council administration that putting up fares year-after-year is not the answer. We need to work for a long-term solution, perhaps a fixed crossing, and that means taking the issue to both the UK and Scottish Governments.
