With more stormy weather, including heavy rain on the way, Lochaber has already taken a fair battering, with several incidents across the area. There has been a landslip near Corryhurachan, south of Fort William, which has resulted in the A82 being closed.
The Highland Council teams are already busy monitoring the situation and dealing with incidents across Lochaber. These include:
18 flood alraams (so far) on storm drains in Fort William, between the Leisure Centre and the Old Police Station.
A large tree down and subsequently removed on the A884, allowing the road to be re-opened.
Some flooding on Cameron Road in Fort William, although it is is only affecting gardens at the moment. Likewise, similar garden flooding in Ballachulish,.
Spean Bridge Primary School has experienced some flooding from the overflowing Upper Trindrish, with sandbags en-route to the school.
